You are being invited to participate in a research study titled “Test Quality in SQT with the Andy Tool” through data collection. This study is being done by Afonso Nobre from the TU Delft in the context of his Honours Project under the supervision of Carolin Brandt and Frank Mulder.
The purpose of this research study is to find ways to teach the students of SQT about test quality; for this purpose, a new version of the Andy tool has been developed.
To measure how effective the new version of Andy is, we would like to ask for your consent to analyse your submissions of the weekly “Exam Practice” assignments.
You will complete the assignments as normal, after introduction of the new Andy version with additional quality feedback.
The submissions will only be analysed after the course, and the exam itself is excluded from this study. Participation is fully voluntary and will not impact your exam grade.
The new Andy version will only be used in the lab and not during the exam.
As with any online activity the risk of a breach is always possible. To the best of our ability your assignment solutions will remain confidential. We will minimize any risks by 1) only storing the solutions on TUD approved locations (such as Weblab) and delete them after they have been used for their purpose and 2) remove the connection between identifiable data as soon as possible for the research and especially when moving the data onto local computers for analysis.
The data we collect will NOT be directly published. The aggregated results of the analysis will be part of Afonso’s honours bachelor project report and a following scientific publication.
Your participation in this study is entirely voluntary and you can withdraw at any time. At any point until the data is de-identified, you can ask for its deletion. Contact the researcher for this end
